The Town of New Fairfield voted on their town and education budgets today at Meeting House Hill School. Both budgets passed by over 70%. The official budget results are as follows:

Municipal: 648 YES 244 NO

Board of Education: 640 YES 254 NO

The advisory questions results are as follows:

Municipal: 133 BLANK 424 TOO HIGH 334 TOO LOW

Board of Education: 65 BLANK 323 TOO HIGH 505 TOO LOW

A total of 894 voters out of 10,415 eligible voters turned out this year, less than last year’s 1043 voters and  2015’s 1080 voter turnout.
