NEW FAIRFIELD – C&C Home Finishing, LLC, a New Fairfield-based construction and design company and general contractor, has flourished as a small but industrious family-run business in the Fairfield County town since 2012. The contracting firm, whose expertise lies in carpentry, painting, refinishing and remodeling, and renovations, opened in New Fairfield five years ago and continues to operate out of the home of its founders and owners, local couple Cristiano and Jessica Fairchild Costa—“Costa and Costa,” or “C&C”—the company’s namesake.

 C&C is small, certainly: The business is maintained by six employees, including Cristiano as owner and general contractor, Jessica as office manager and design consultant, and longtime staffer Dennis DeSouza, the company’s project manager. However, its size has not limited its success.

 “We have grown significantly in the last five years,” wrote Cristiano Costa in an e-mail correspondence. “Mostly due to referrals from our wonderful clients.”

 Cristiano also stated that C&C works with a “great group of fully qualified and talented subcontractors,” indispensable in meeting the demands of their clien

“We design and build. Our goal is to make your dream home become a reality,” wrote Cristiano. He noted that C&C specializes “in interior and exterior renovations including, but not limited to, bathroom and kitchen remodeling, residential additions, roofing, siding, windows, and deck construction.”

Cristiano and Jessica have both been involved in the residential construction field for over a decade. They both worked at a contracting firm in New York’s Westchester County before marrying and opening C&C, today located in New Fairfield—online search results suggest the company was previously located in Danbury and New Fairfield—Jessica’s lifelong home. The Costas live and work out of their home and office location in New Fairfield, where they take care of their three young sons.
