This year, our Annual New Fairfield July 4th Parade is coming to “Your Neighborhood” via our first-ever New Fairfield Lions Club’s July 4th “Car Parade”! The July 4th Car Parade is scheduled to begin at 9am at the corner of Warwick Rd. and CT Route 37. It will travel south along Rte. 37 to the Center of Town making a right turn onto Brush Hill Rd. The parade will continue to the top of Brush Hill Rd., bearing slightly left in front of St. Edwards Church and making a right turn onto Gillotti Rd. The parade will continue along Gillotti Road to CT Route 39. At the traffic light, the parade will turn right onto Ball Pond Rd. and continue around Ball Pond to Warwick Rd. and finish back at the starting point at CT Route 37.
The parade will be LIVE on Facebook as well. Go to on July 4th at 8:30am to watch LIVE Pre-Parade Events and the Flag Ceremony with the Pipe and Drum Band at Memorial Field followed by the July 4th Car Parade at 9am.
You are welcome to bring your lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the parade along this year’s new parade route while practicing and maintaining a safe distance from other viewers and parade participants. Walk to the parade route closest to your home or watch it from your favorite annual viewing spot. Wear your “Best & Brightest” Red, White & Blue outfits and make signs and banners to celebrate the Fourth of July. The New Fairfield Lions Club will also be hosting our first “July 4th House Decorating Contest” as well! Just take a photo of your home completely decorated for the Fourth of July and post it on our Facebook page to enter, Posting deadline is 12noon on July 4th, 2020. The New Fairfield Lions Club will choose a winner for the “Best July 4th House Decorating” and the “Best July 4th Parade Route Banner”. An award will be given to the winners.
