Peter Weinberger was a car lover and long-time member of the NFVFD who came up with the idea for a car show to raise funds to benefit local charities. Pete lost his battle with cancer in 2016, but the members of the Department carry on the tradition he started by holding an annual car show in his memory to raise funds. This year the car show proceeds will go to the New Fairfield High School scholarships for graduating seniors.
Pete was kind-hearted, dependable and a great friend to many. He never complained and always did what was best for his family, friends, community and brother and sister volunteer firefighters.
We like to think Pete would be proud of what this show has become. Help us make this one of the best area shows and bring down your car, truck, bike and even antique fire apparatus. We will have fire trucks for the kids to see and climb in, raffles. 50/50, music, food and of course awesome cars. We will also have a recruitment/information table set up if you are interested in seeing what being a member of the Fire Department is all about!
